It's a privilege to witness the spectacle that is Tokyo in the springtime. I had an opportunity to do that two years in a row! However, the crowds that come to view the "sakura" (cherry blossoms) can be pretty overwhelming. My camera and I escaped to Yanaka Cemetary. I came for the reowned views of the cherry blossoms one overcast morning, but I stayed for the incredible dogwoods that I found by following the stone paths coated in sakura petals.
